Conserving energy saves our world BY: BRODIE AND MADELINE

Conserving Energy Have you ever heard of conserving energy? Conserving energy means to use less energy. For example, to use less light, heat, and sound. Light, heat, and sound are three forms of energy.

Why is conserving energy important? Conserving energy is important because it helps electric resources last longer. conserving energy also releases less bad chemicals in the air, for example, carbon dioxide. So next time you leave your house, think about how important it is to make sure you turn off your electric resources so they can last longer.

Country compare and contrast United states of america United States of America conserves energy by recycling and turning off electric resouces and by having daylight savings time annually. Brazil Brazil uses different types of energy to conserve energy for example, hydroenergy, solar energy, wind power and many more. Renewable energy is accounted for more than 85.4 % of produced electricity used. After the oil spills of the 1970's, Brazil started focusing on developing renewable sources of energy and is also the 10th largest energy consumer in the world.

Taking action Well now that you know what conserving energy means and why it is important, we think that you are ready to take action on your own. First we need to teach you a few simple ways to do so. Some are as simple as turning off the lights when you are not using them and here are some other simple ways.  Shower for a short period of time so you don't use as much water  Use special light bulbs that use less energy  Wear a sweater in the winter instead of turning up the heat  Make sure your light bulbs are dust free  Dry your clothes with clothes pin on a line instead of with a dryer So now it's your turn to take action!!!
