Books For Bolts By Jennifer Daks Books for Classroom libraries

The First Steps The first step was brainstorming ideas. I wanted to help the school’s libraries, so I contacted my school’s Media Specialist, Ms. Huff, to see what I could do to help. I decided that my project was going to be building a book donation box, making a flyer, making a poster, and making an instruction sheet explaining how to label the books.

Building The Box After I decided what I wanted to do, my next step was to start building the box. Building the box was a long process, but it was worth taking our time for. When we finished, it looked amazing.

The Flyer I started working on the flyer while we finished the box. I think it turned out great. My favorite part of doing the flyer was making the collage of pictures. I loved figuring out how to make it and where to put the pictures to make them look better.

The Poster I also made the poster. Making the poster and the flyer were both really fun things to do. I love using technology, especially for graphic design.

The Final Steps To finish the project, I made the instruction sheet, Ms. Huff hung up the posters and distributed the flyers, and I put the box out. We also helped Ms. Huff sort the donated books.
