PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Do you know your monitor from your keyboard? What are the parts of a computer?

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Screen: Displays what you want to see on the computer. This is what you look at most of the time!

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Monitor: The physical piece of the computer that contains the screen and various control buttons

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER CPU (Central Processing Unit): The “brain” of your computer! Insert discs or power the computer on or off

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Microphone: Allows you to speak into your computer Some computers have built in microphones!

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Mouse: Allows you to move and select items on your screen. Some mice are connected the computer by a long wire or can be wireless.

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Keyboard: Allows you to type text or numbers on your computer screen. It’s how you let your computer know what you want do and where you want to go!

PARTS OF THE COMPUTER Speaker: Allows music or sound come out of the computer.
