Important Factors in My Landing As suggested by Ed Schultz, I responded back their requirements with bullets of my experience. At first I thought I had only met a limited amount of the requirements. Taking the time and writing out what I had done led me to find more things that I had done and I was able to complete all requirements when I initially though I had about half.

Important Factors in My Landing Practice interviews - This helped me answer questions quickly and smoothly.

Important Factors in My Landing The STAR format. I had a large number of stories, some of which I practiced at LVP. Some I developed the morning of the interview when I reviewed requirements and then remembered some thing that applied.

Important Factors in My Landing We all have a lot of experience. It is often difficult for us to recognize all that we have done. Many times requirements that employers list are wish lists or they are looking for only a moderate amount of the experience.

Important Factors in My Landing Keep positive Sell yourself Try to stay active Thank you everyone at LVP. This is a great resource.

Hello John, I put in my information with the requirements of the position. I have a lot of experience working with crews mainly contractors working on shut down projects, but also with production and maintenance personnel. I also have experience with databases including Access. I have experience with other databases and office software like Word, Power Point and Project. Troubleshooting, investigation of process problems, corrective and preventive action have been a large part of my responsibilities in most of my career. The position appears to be a good fit. I hope you find my qualifications meet the requirements. Requirements: The individual will work with contract construction crews on turnkey installations. I have a large amount of experience working with both internal crews and contractors on projects and shut down work. Usually I would meet with the crew leaders before the start of the shift to prepare and sign off the required safety forms and go over the work planned for the day. The safety permits usually included Lock Out Tag Out, Safe Work and Confined Space. Other safety permits included Hot Work and Line Blanking. The last project I was working on was a $880K storm water collection and processing system for environmental requirements. The individual will work with and must know excel & access – The individual should have familiarity with queries & forms. I have experience with both Excel and Access and familiar with queries and forms. I used Access in tracking downtime in critical processes. The causes for the downtime along with corrective and preventive actions were reviewed weekly with staff, production supervision, production personnel, maintenance personnel and embers of the quality department. The individual will work with PPL developed applications to query data needed for device setup. I have worked in the past with maintaining applications that included menus of queries for engineers and other users to view production process information and battery test data. The individual will enter data into novatech rtu & Subnet / Sensus website for device communications commissioning. I have experience in a number of positions entering data and reviewing data for errors. My work at Lucent Technologies included entering qualification data. Other data entry included costs for rework and scrap for our locations lean manufacturing program. The individual will work in operations control room testing devices using scada systems. My work at the Reading Recycling Center included monitoring information in the SCADA system and using historical data to investigate processing issues. Additions to SCADA system were done by a contractor. Besides the ability to start and stop processes, I would adjust set points and modify the recipes for the furnaces. The individual will identify problems and initiate work orders through a PPL application (WAM) for corrective action. Our location used MP2 for preventive maintenance, generate work orders and track spare parts. My use of the system was to produce work orders and track their completion. The individual will work with operators to understand device issues. A at number of positions during my career I worked closely with operators to investigate and resolve production and quality issues. My last position, Process Engineer involved reducing downtime and optimizing material usage. This took close work with operators to identify and resolve issues. My first position as a Quality Engineer included investigating and reporting large scrap issues. Much of this effort was reviewing process data and interviewing operators and inspectors to understand the cause. The individual will work with construction crews through testing and troubleshooting and follow up with corrective actions. My last position involved a large amount of work with internal crews and contractor crews. For the start up's and shut down's I would prepare and publish check lists. The progress of the work was tracked against the schedule and reported. Review of the work would frequently uncover additional items that would need to be added to or removed from the scope of the work. My work in quality and process engineering included a large amount of testing and calibration of test equipment particularly for military batteries. This experience included work with Lean Manufacturing teams. My position as Senior Process Engineer included travel to manufacturing locations to aid in troubleshooting and conducting designed experiments to improve processing. The individual must be diligent with data entry. Proficient with issue identification and must follow up through resolution. The Senior Process Engineer position included careful review of battery test data entered to engineering database to identify errors in submitted data. This data was frequently required for reports for customers. Other work included checking information in the process design database to insure correct components and appropriate process recipes.
