John Proctor a Tragic Hero? Aristotle’s Four Characteristics of a Tragic Hero 1. Goodness—a tragic hero is a moral and ethical person 2. Superiority—a tragic hero is someone with supreme or noble authority or control; held in high esteem and in good overall standing 3.
