Attention Deficit Disorder

What is A.D.D? Attention Deficit Disorder is a condition which causes people, who suffer with it, to experience challenges within three main categories; inattention, impulsiveness, and hyperactivity. People with A.D.D. tend to usually get into trouble, or waste a lot of time daydreaming or getting sidetracked.

Symptoms of A.D.D. Difficulties paying attention Unable to following instructions and to complete tasks Problems with organization and losing things Avoiding work (school work, assignments etc…) Forgetful Inability to sit still and to work quietly “On the go” Talking Excessively Interruptive Anxiousness and impatience

Medication There are a few types of medications to treat A.D.D.. Although it is not curable through medications, taking medication can help control the symptoms. Many doctors and schools encourage people diagnosed with A.D.D. to take the meds, but many parents and people whom are diagnosed refuse to because of the side effects.

A.D.D. Lifestyle People with Attention Deficit Disorder always tend to be lively, and distracted. For example, in a classroom environment, a student with A.D.D. would most likely be found fidgeting, talking or daydreaming, instead of paying attention to a class lesson, or activity. Everything is done on impulse. When an idea arises, someone with A.D.D. will most likely endure, without thinking of the risks or consequences.

A.D.D. At School A.D.D. can really effect someone's education. Usually the students with A.D.D. tend to get in trouble often in school, and a hard time paying attention because of their random impulses, and restlessness.
