STEM Fair Parent Night January 30, :00 – 6:00 February 20, :00 – 7:00 March 26, 2013 STEM Fair

STEM Fair Projects Participants Each student, in grades 3 – 6 are required to complete a STEM Fair project. In grades k – 2, students will complete a class project.

Components of a STEM Fair Project Name of Project *Question *Research Paper (at least 2 – 3 paragraphs, grades 3 -6) See research paper template on RHES website under STEM *Hypothesis *Materials *Variables (may or may not include variables) *Procedures *Results *Conclusion *Final Project

Science Fair Judging on March 26, 2013 Top 10 projects will be selected according to PGCPS Judging Criteria. Selection and announcement of 1rst., 2 nd. and 3 rd place winners will be on March 26, 2013

Odds and Ends Students will be given a display board and labels for their project once they have completed the 8 steps of the project. Question, Research Paper, Hypothesis, Materials, Variables, Procedures, Data, Results and Conclusion Do not take pictures of your child. Include pictures of the experiment, trials or data collection. Charts and graphs should be included. Encourage your child to be creative in their presentation.
