Mouth The opening in the human face where food is taken in.

Esophagus The part where the throat is connected to the stomach.

Stomach The organ where the first part of digestion occurs.

Small Intestine The part of the intestine that runs through the stomach and large intestine.

Large Intestine The colon or the cecum.

Liver A large organ involved in processing food.

Appendix A tube-shaped sac attached to the lower end of large intestine.

Pancreas A large gland that is located behind the stomach.

Enzymes A substance produced by a living organism.

Gall Bladder A small sac-shaped organ located beneath the liver.

Bile/Bile Duct Bile Duct:The duct that conveys bile. Bile:A greenish-brown fluid.

Mucus A slimy substance.

Chemical Digestion Digestion of Mechanical and Chemical breaking down into smaller bits.

Absorption The process by which neutrons are absorbed by nucleus.
