Introducing the Acclarix LX8 System

a new vision for excellence Acclarix Family of Ultrasound Systems Definitive Image Quality Intrinsic Quality Intelligent Workflow Distinctive Design ULTRASOUND a new vision for excellence As Sean already mentioned the design of the Acclarix family of ultrasound systems was based on four cornerstones. I’m going to organize my comments regarding the features and benefits of each system around these cornerstones.

Introducing the Acclarix LX8 System Designed to provide versatility, performance and value for General Imaging. Starting with the Acclarix LX8 cart based system which was designed to provide not only excellent imaging performance – but also the versatility to address all general imaging applications including cardiac screening.

LX8 - Distinctive Design Cart-based system Four-wheel lock and swivel HD wide-screen 21” monitor Motorized 20-cm height adjustment The LX8 is a very sleek cart-based system with a clean and progressive user interface. It features four-wheel lock and swivel making it easy to maneuver for portable exams or into small exam rooms. The wide monitor provides a large image area plus ample space for image thumbnails and measurements and calculations. With 20 cm of travel - the motorized height adjustment provides a comfortable scanning position for users – whether sitting or standing.

LX8 - Distinctive Design Clean progressive user interface Home base design with short reach to large angled touch screen Retractable keyboard Targeted down-lighting The user interface design is clean, fresh and modern. It features a home base for your “go-to” controls as well as a large angled touch-screen. There is also a conveniently located retractable keyboard with targeted down lighting

LX8 - Intelligent Workflow Everything you need at your fingertips Four active transducer ports Home-based control design Customizable menu on touch screen eAuto: Auto-Gain/Auto Trace D/G/P and HF/MF/LF simpler preset Auto Measurement: Auto Trace Data Management: Exam Database/Clipboard/Review/Report/ DVD-RW Let’s take a look at how the LX8 system addresses workflow requirements. First, with four active transducer ports, the need to actually change transducers becomes rare – but when needed the ports are conveniently located and down lit for superb visibility. The home-based control design means the most-oft used controls are readily available, and the touch panel is located in a position designed to reduce reach. The touch-panel is easily customizable to your workflow so that the controls that are important to you can be placed in a prominent location and less often used controls can be moved to a secondary location. And of, course, the system features auto-gain optimization reducing the need to tweak the image.

Customizable Menu Screen layout is fully customizable Allows the user to prioritize controls Enables the ability to easily move controls between screens Enables ability to create folders for hiding the parameters infrequently or not used

D/G/P and HF/MF/LF simpler preset One touch to simplify the image preset for different patients Optimizes multiple parameters Frequency in B Harmonic Gray Map Dynamic Range Auto Focus One touch to finish the color mode optimization Optimizes multiple parameters Frequency in C PRF/Scale Wall filter

LX8 - Definitive Image Quality Unexpected performance at an equally surprising price High fidelity, high-channel count architecture Tissue adaptive imaging Adaptive color and spectral Doppler Tissue Harmonic Imaging (THI) Speckle Reduction Imaging (eSRI) Spatial Compound Imaging (SCI) The definitive image quality of the LX8 system starts with the complete suite of new transducers. Included are two high-frequency L17-7 linear array transducers – one of which is a compact linear (hockey stick) design. There is also an L10 for vascular, a broadband curved array, endocavity, phased array for cardiac screening and a 3D/4D WIP transducers. I encourage you to stop by our live demonstration to pick up a brochure which will provide transducer details. Driving these new transducers is a powerful high-channel count architecture and advanced image processing technologies. Tissue adaptive imaging automatically and continuously optimizes multiple 2D image parameters such as spatial compounding, speckle reduction and dynamic range to provide exquisite image quality. While adaptive color and spectral Doppler atomically, adapts to flow variations providing excellent boundaries, color fill-in and velocity representation for accurate hemodynamic display. Exquisite sensitivity to deliver the best detail, contrast & penetration

Tissue Harmonic Imaging (THI) Harmonics On Harmonics Off

Speckle Reduction Imaging (eSRI) Improve spatial and contrast resolution Enhance edges/borders for more consistent border detection Four selections Off, low, middle, high

Spatial Compound Imaging (SCI) Combine multiple angle-steered images into one, no frame rate drop Less shadow for more diagnostic information Dual view available on SCI imaging

LX8 - Transducer Complete suite of next generation transducers High fidelity, high-channel count architecture 3D/4D The definitive image quality of the LX8 system starts with the complete suite of new transducers.
