Create an Engineering Drawing Move the frame file (*.FRM) and all the part files (*.PRT) into one folder File -> Set working directory -> select the holder New -> Drawing -> Don’t select use default template -> Name -> OK Browse -> Select a part (a part file) -> Open -> Empty with Format -> Browse to find a frame file -> Open -> OK

Create a Front View 1 Create a front view: Layout -> General -> Select the center point for the front view by mouse click on the drawing paper View Type -> Double click on FRONT VIEW -> View Display -> Display Style: Hidden -> Tangent edges display style: None -> Apply -> Close

Create a Front View 2 Modify the drawing: Double click on the drawing -> Drawing View will be shown Move the drawing: Select the drawing -> Press down the right mouse key to turn on/off Lock View Movement

Create a Projection View Create a side view: Mouse select the front view -> Projection -> Select the center point for the side view by mouse click on the drawing paper Create a plan view: Mouse select the front view -> Projection -> Select the center point for the plan view by mouse click on the drawing paper

Change Projection Type How to change projection type: File -> Drawing Options -> These options control views and their annotations -> Projection_type -> first_angle or third_angle (Default)

Create a General View Create a General view: Layout -> General -> Select the center point for the general view by mouse click on the drawing paper View Display -> Display Style: No Hidden -> Tangent edges display style: None -> Apply -> Close

Sections 1 Create a Section: Double click on the FRONT VIEW -> Drawing View -> Sections -> 2D cross-section -> + -> Planar -> Single -> Done -> Enter NAME for cross-section (e.g. 0) -> V -> Plane -> Select 1 item (e.g. FRONT Plane) -> Sectioned Area -> Local -> Select point -> Sketch a closed curve to indicate the sectioned area -> OK

Sections 2 How to change the spacing of xHatch: Select the xhatch & double click on it -> MOD XHATCH -> spacing -> Half to make spacing 1/2 -> Double to make spacing X2 -> Done How to change the angle of xHatch: Select the xhatch & double click on it -> MOD XHATCH -> angle -> Select different angles below or enter the special value for the angle

Annotate How to show dimensions on a drawing: Annotate -> Show Model Annotations -> Select views, components, and/or features for which you want to show annotations -> V -> check on show -> Apply How to delete dimensions on a drawing: Select the dimensions you want to delete -> Delete
