NSS 2011: UoS programme-level results and JACS level 3 results for HE institutions These graphs compare Salford’s NSS programme-level results with their associated JACS level 3 subject for Salford and the rest of the HE sector. Results are only released to institutions for programmes when they have a minimum of 10 students responding to the survey. Many of our programmes failed to meet this requirement and so, following a consultation with Schools, similar programmes were grouped together and Ipsos MORI were asked to compile the results for these groups. These are shown as ‘Prog Group’ on the graphs. In some cases a group may consist of a single programme. The results show the section summary scores for the following NSS groups of questions: The teaching on my course Assessment and feedback Organisation and management These are the areas linked to the Teaching and Learning Goal 1 targets for the University. If you require information about other NSS scores for these programmes, please contact Terry Walsh in Planning and Performance: The following should be considered when reading the graphs: Small student numbers in some programme groups means that data may be volatile in these cases. Some programme groups are missing because they to not meet the Ipsos MORI publication threshold of 10 students. Key Blue & green represent other institutions within the Sector (green = top quartile) Red represents Salford’s JACS Level 3 performance across all programmes. Orange represents performance for individual programme groups. Numbers of respondents shown in brackets. Prepared 3 November 2011
