We are increasingly aware that bullying is a problem in our schools and communities! More and more schools and communities are working to heighten awareness and implement effective anti- Bullying policies and practices!

But what exactly is it?? What is bullying?? We use the word a lot, but do we really know what it means??

How do you define bullying? What is bullying? What is not bullying?

Bullying encompasses many different behaviors in a variety of settings, not all of which are apparent. We need to remember that: Not all school violence is bullying! Not all bullying is violent!

In the school setting, bullying can involve: Student against student Student against teacher/staff Teacher/staff against student Teacher/staff against Teacher/staff
