SNACS (Sierra Nevada Academy Charter School) Pre-K trough 8 th grade Reno, Nevada Approximately 260 Students Approximately 20 Teachers Small Community Learning Family oriented, community oriented SNACS captures the essence of the unique climate and culture in Bringing the Small School Community Back to the Neighborhood. The SNACS small school community fosters personalized learning, technology, choice, parent and student engagement, and STEM all drive student achievement. 21st Century Learning and Cultural Relevance – Cultivates Leadership at all Levels of the Organization – Ensures a High Quality Education – Provides Personalized Learning – Supports Growth – Leverages Technology – Instills Student Responsibility for Learning in Education and Decision Making – Provides Progressive Curriculum – Conducts Multiple Measures of Summative and Formative Assessments – Maximizes Effective Use of Data – Supports Families as Essential to Education – Includes Community Opportunities – Supports Accountability – Hands on learning, student teacher one on one base learning – Individualized academic plan for every student – Equity and Adequacy

High Tech High 5 basic strategies to implement the most successful students and teachers : Enact Change Inspire others Enable Develop Influence Thirteen schools (five high schools, four middle schools, and four elementary schools) at three locations. Approximately 5000 students 96% of graduates have gone on to college, 66% to four-year institutions.
