Our Mission The Plymouth Education Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”) is a non-profit corporation based upon the philosophy that public education shall be endowed through a broad-based system of community support for enhancing and augmenting educational opportunities for students and citizens in the Town of Plymouth.

PURPOSE The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors representing a cross-section of citizens who are dedicated to education and share a vision for excellence in our schools. The Foundation was created primarily to support and enhance the education of all students in the Plymouth School District. The purpose of the Foundation is to solicit, manage and distribute funds for educational purposes and activities which may not be Funded by the Plymouth Public Schools. Donations are received from individuals, corporations, grants, estates, memorials, other foundations and fundraising activities to create an endowment fund. The distributed funds shall be in alignment with the Plymouth Public School’s strategic plan. Funding is supplemental and does not replace or alter use of tax-based revenues.

OUR VISION The vision of the Foundation is to be a premier, non-profit organization supporting education in the Town of Plymouth.

OUR GOALS The Foundation shall provide resources for programs and activities that align with the following goals:  To encourage academic excellence  To promote community awareness in education and the Foundation  To support lifelong learning  To ensure the perpetuity of the Foundation with an endowment fund

WE NEED YOUR HELP Become a Donor to the Foundation and you will become part of a local organization committed to supporting educational success. The Plymouth Education Foundation, Inc. accepts donations from individuals, corporations and other foundations to fund its programs and activities.

SUPPORTING LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMS Foundation Programs support the Plymouth School District’s mission and align with the District’s Strategic Plan to promote educational excellence and enhance lifelong learning. Programs are implemented as funds are available or as they are endowed. The Foundation may also work with other organizations and individuals to promote education in the Town of Plymouth.

GRANTS · Instructional Grants provide funds for educators to develop and implement instructional projects that align with the Foundation’s mission. Funds may be used for equipment, supplies, curriculum development and staff development. · Scholarships for teachers and other educators are awarded to pursue additional education in the teaching profession, including National Board Teacher Certification. · Enhancement Grants for students will provide student enrichment opportunities that are above and beyond regular, remedial or required study. · Professional Enrichment Grants will provide teachers and other educators with opportunities to attend seminars, workshops and classes for enrichment purposes for which college credit is not received. · Other public and Non-profit Organizations may also be provided grants for educational opportunities for the citizens of the Town of Plymouth.

Adele Manfredi: Clerk and Director A Former title examiner, former member and Chairperson of the Plymouth School Committee, and former school teacher. Linda McAlduff: Director A School teacher and member and Chairperson of the Plymouth School Committee. Barry Haskell: Director A Former Superintendent of the Plymouth Public Schools and former school teacher.
