4 What is the OTHS Endowment Fund?  Established in 1999 as an Illinois 501(c)3 non-profit organization  Operates independently from the school district's Board of Education.

5 What are the GOALS of the OTHS Endowment Fund?  Support commitment to educational excellence of OTHS and its national recognition as one of our country’s finest high schools.  Provide additional financial resources not available through traditional school financing to perpetuate the quality educational programs offered to students at OTHS.

6 Why was Endowment Fund established? The Endowment Fund was established to give alumni, community members, businesses and all concerned, an opportunity to provide additional financial resources not available through governmental funding to enhance the quality programs offered to students at O’Fallon Township High School.

7 Who will the Endowment Fund benefit? The funds contributed are used to provide OTHS students with scholarships, computer software, hardware, and other resources to enrich their educational opportunities.

8 What Fund Raisers does the Endowment Fund sponsor?  Golf tournament  Brick walk (at Smiley campus entrance)

9 The Fund now generates more than $30,000 annually for classroom grants.  Donations to the Endowment Fund are professionally invested  The principle always remains invested to perpetuate the fund.  Interest income and proceeds from our annual fundraiser are awarded annually in the form of grants to fund scholarships and finance projects for deserving clubs and departments that fulfill the goals of the Endowment Fund.

10 What has the Endowment Fund financed?  Annual college scholarships & summer school scholarships  Programs for students at risk of not graduating  Software for Science, World Language, Music Dept  Computer equipment for Broadcast Club & Scholar Bowl Club

11  Video Equipment for Media Center & Literature classes  School-wide technology online expansion for student/staff  Science equipment  Honor Society Stoles  Robotics Club projects  Art & Geometry collaboration project  Art, Character Ed & Band Trophy Cases  Challenge Day assemblies  Smart Boards

12 GIFT OPTIONS  Cash Donation  Appreciated Property - securities, stocks, bonds, mutual funds  Life Insurance - The Endowment Fund may be made the beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance or annuity policy.  Retirement Plans - Qualified Plans (IRA, 401k, 403b) as gifts can potentially save taxes for you and your estate.  Real Estate - Donations of a home, farm or other real estate property, for which the donor retains the right of lifetime residency.  Alumni Giving  Corporate or Matching Gifts - Over 1,000 companies match contributions to 501c3 institutions.
