PARENTS LETTER Hello Again, hope Easter was great and your holiday week is enjoyable. A couple more things to cover with you. WHY IS MY CHILD PLAYING WITH THIS GROUP OF PLAYERS?- pretty simple, we see a development need in your child or want to illuminate a flaw in his or her perception of their game. Either way, we are fixating on correcting or enhancing some part of your child’s game. When we think it is fixed or changed we most likely will move that player to another group to work on something else. Confidence and Realty are two of the greatest things we can bestow on your child, and we look to do it regularly. The young and beginners work on gaining knowledge and experience, mid level 5,6,7 graders work on confidence and repetition of needed skill set. 8 th on work on being the best and incorporating everything thing they have learned. Players who jump in mid stream get a reduced version of everything we do that best suits their needs. So bottom line their will be days of good, days of questions, days of misery and if we do our jobs right and your child does theirs, well we produce a better person and most likely a pretty gifted basketball player. SATURDAY GAMES- I forget not everyone is me. At this time of year in my mind we play every Saturday and sometimes Friday and Sunday. This time of year runs thru June. So I sorta understand family and needed Saturdays off, especially around Easter. What I don’t understand is texting me Saturday morning telling me your on vacation. Tell me the Monday before that Saturday morning because lack of informing me causes me to make ill wishes upon you. Your child was on a team for a reason now that team may be screwed for the day and their games. Hard to fix at 8:15am. So please excuse my crude replies back. Sorta meant it sorta maybe I didn’t. COACHES CLINIC- This program started last year where we had 8 coaches over 8 weeks come and talk to our players and inform them what it takes to play high school ball. We had what I think was great success. I invited the players who I thought would best benefit. For that I got some bad reviews from those not invited. I then decided to open it up to everyone on a first come first in basis. Well that totally backfired. So I will now invite players again. We will make it a 6 week program starting April 24 th –May 29 th. Sunday’s, Cost is ,4,5 graders and 15- 6,7,8 graders. If you are interested contact Ann for more details. On Monday I will send out invites to fill the open slots. This is a great way for your child to get a up close view of what it takes to play at the next level.

Continuation, April Training, we are now beginning our tough training. Everyone has had a getting acquainted period. Now we are starting our toughness training segments. You will see a very different tone on Wednesday and Thursday training as the small attention oriented mistakes are no longer tolerated. No focus, not knowing the plays, sets, inbound plays etc are no longer accepted. Production on the court now starts to be a focus. Running around and sweating is not viewed as work or production. I know we are into this because I received 6 calls last week because of the different tone of training. It is like clock work each year. We are now pushing your child to change their way they view what is good on the court and in games. Responsibility and accountability to themselves and teammates are paramount. From their ballhandleing, to wall work, to training, to toughness, to game production. The focus is now more intense. Reality now sets in. Relax, put in ear plugs or sit in the car. This is what will make your child different than the others. 24 hr Gym Program, as you now see Eric our Speed Trainer is now set up. So with that the 24 hr program has just added the Speed area to you access ability. You can now use both the courts and exercise area. One note you must first see Coach Eric is you are unfamiliar with the equipment before you use it and mess it up. Secondly, you are on your own and will sign a document stating such. As everyone knows everyone is on camera at all times in the gym and hallway. Guests you bring in will now be to use both courts and exercise, if you only use the courts and no exercise area it is 8.00 for guests. Program runs four months increments and paid in full up front. Monthly fee is for Courts and Speed Area. For Courts only For Speed Area only Speed and Agility Training, Eric is now set up and going. Please consider his training. I can not tell you how valuable it is to your child development in basketball, sports and personally. Being highly coordinated is really now our biggest issues when we play other teams. At young ages the best athletes usually win. They are more self confident, faster, etc. This then translates into a attitude that carries them a long way. If we can combine speed agility training with basketball training we now have a totally different child. Talk to Eric and see what you can work out. Training Attendance, at times it stinks and it is noted and your participation in Saturday games will be affected. Just cause you pay means nothing to me, if you don’t have your child at training. When your child misses it affects others and the way we train. I take that personally, very personally. I cant make your child better if they are not a training consistently. Plus missing for crazy reasons trains your kid the wrong way for the real world. Your in my program and every child here is a reflection of me and my trainers standards. More so mine. I wont put my name on a kid I don’t think is what I would want in my child. So wishy washy people and I don’t mesh. Your all in or all out. Summer Camps- Please check out our website for summer camps. Max Ward our new trainer has tons of high school, college as well as professional experience in training players. He is a great asset to our training and a week camp with him and his methods would be a great asset to your child’s development. Check his weeks out on the web.
