Acceptance acceptance By Ezo

What is homosexuality and how to define it a person, especially a man, who is sexually attracted to people of the same sex and not to people of the opposite sex Although it would appear to be simple, on closer examination defining homosexuality is more complex. Young people writing to magazine problem pages seem to define homosexuality using three criteria: having sexual feelings towards other people of the same sex sexual behaviour with people of the same sex and describing oneself as homosexual ( identity)

Islamic view Islam has very strict views on love and sex. These are based on passages from the Qur’an and Hadith (the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad). Muslims view sexual intercourse as an act of worship that fulfils emotional and physical needs as well as being procreative. Having children is the way in which humans cancontribute towards Allah’s creation. Sexual intercourse is a gift from Allah and therefore can only take place within a married relationship. Islam encourages people to marry and not to lead celibate lives. Marriage places a responsibility on both the husband and the wife to meet each other’s sexual needs. Homosexual and lesbian relationships are forbidden by Islam because of these strict rules about sexual intercourse only taking place between a husband and wife. Some Muslim lawyers have argued that it is a crime which should be punished by death.

Nazim and Matthews gay relationship A Harley Street doctor killed himself by jumping naked from his luxury penthouse apartment after his Muslim mother asked him to seek “a cure” for being gay, an inquest heard. Dr Nazim Mahmood, fell four storeys to his death from the balcony of his £700,000 flat in a West Hampstead mansion block on July 30. An inquest at St Pancras Coroners’ Court heard Dr Mahmood had told his mother he was gay and was in a 13- year relationship with his fiancée Matthew Ogston just days before his death. The court heard Dr Mahmood had kept his sexuality secret from his Muslim family in Birmingham fearing they would refuse to accept it on religious and cultural grounds
