PICTURE #1 This picture, represents Jesus as Che Guevara, an Argentine Marxist revolutionary. The artist is trying to say that Jesus is like Che in the way that he is willing to die for what he believes in. It emphasises his humanity as it shows he had human feelings and passion to be able die for his beliefs. It shows him in a positive light as it makes him look like a strong and good person.

PICTURE #2. The intended audience for this picture is Christians and religious people The artist is trying to say that you can see the sadness in his eyes even after everything he has done, he is still sad The art empathises the divinity of Jesus as he looks like a God because you can see his crown of thorns and he looks very loved This picture gives a negative view of Jesus because he has sacrificed everything for everyone’s sins

PICTURE #3 The audience of people Rio de Janero and tourists. We think` the artist is trying to say that Jesus is watching over us. This emphasises the divinity of Jesus as it shows him as a seeing of everything. Also the fact that his is in the clouds and so big illuminates the fact that he is godly. We think that it shows him in a negative light. This is because he looks so much more important than humans, as well as the fact that it looks like he is judging them.

SOUTH PARK: JESUS The TV show south park is very controversial. Many times Jesus has appeared on the show many times in many different ways. One time he was shown as an evil terrorist trying to convert every one to Christianity. Another time, he was shot by Muslim terrorists trying to save Santa Claus. It is clear in which light Jesus is being show as in each episode he is viewed as more important than others.

LIFE OF BRIAN Life of Brian is a Monty Python sketch. It is about a normal man, Brian, who is turned into a religious symbol almost over night. We think the artists is trying to say that Jesus could have just been normal man who happened to be where all his ‘miracles’ happened. It highlights Jesus in a humanitarian way as he is just a normal man who has people following him for no reason. It puts Jesus in a negative light as it says he didn’t want to be a religious figure and die on the cross.
