Learning Objectives UNDERSTAND lesson plan organization UNDERSTAND the requirements for each portion of the lesson plan DEMONSTRATE ability to personalize a lesson plan prior to instruction DEMONSTRATE the ability to follow a lesson plan during instruction

Introduction Attention Have you ever… Can you imagine… ? Motivation Why is this important? Why should you learn about it now? Overview How much will be covered? How have the ideas been organized? What activities will take place?

Motivation Before we get started, there are some things you can expect to gain from this topic. First and foremost, you will gain knowledge on how to enhance your lesson by understanding lesson plan organization. Also you will gain the confidence to be able effectively personalize lesson plans used to teach. This will give you the ability to ensure your students are getting the most out of your instruction. Mastering this lesson will take you one step closer to graduation day and to the graduation certificate that will identify you as an Instructor.

Discussion Points Make a list of critical points you want learners to remember Breakdown discussion points in a logical sequence Add/Enter the notes you will use to accomplish learning objectives Identify examples/analogies for moving information to long term memory Develop at least five open ended questions to confirm learning and comprehension Develop transition statements to provide relationships
