Fieldwork  Track fieldwork hours on a timesheet, which the mentor will sign off on.  Compile several pieces of fieldwork evidence: photos of student engaged in fieldwork; copies/photos/images of anything the student created or participated in—websites, films, surveys, interview Q & A, flyers, receipts, business cards, registration confirmation, etc.  not engage in unsafe or illegal activity, work for another class, or the student's financial or material gain.

Portfolio Students must…  Obtain teacher approval of portfolio components prior to binding.  create a bound portfolio, which includes introductory documents, the research essay, culminating fieldwork product and evidence.  submit one complete portfolio by Monday, January 13, 2014.

Presentation Students must…  present their work to a panel of judges on January 29, 2014, or Thursday, January 30,  utilize PowerPoint for their presentation.  wear professional business attire that has been preapproved by the teacher.  present for seven to ten minutes in length.  discuss their research paper, explain their fieldwork, and reflect on what they learned during the process.  demonstrate effective speaking skills.  be prepared for the brief question and answer period that follows their presentation.
