With more than 450 experts in 55 academic disciplines we are a leading provider of environmental solutions.

History – the Umweltbundesamt was founded, as outlined in the Environmental Control Act 1998 – New Environmental Control Act Core tasks redefined 1999 – the Umweltbundesamt becomes a Limited Liability Company 100% owned by the Republic of Austria (represented by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management)

ENPI-SEIS Project Main outcomes: Enhanced networking and improved capacities for handling environmental data and information, ensuring open access to it through compatible and freely available exchange tools.
