MS Word 2013 Interface Quick Access Tool Bar – lets you access common commands like Save, Undo, and Repeat The Ribbon - contains all of the commands you will need to perform common tasks in Word. It has multiple tabs, each with several groups of commands. Command Group - each group contains a series of different commands. Simply click any command to apply it. Some groups also have an arrow in the bottom-right corner, which you can click to see even more commands. Ruler - located at the top and to the left of your document. It makes it easier to make alignment and spacing adjustments. Scroll Bar - scroll up and down through the pages of your document. Page Number Indicator – keeps track of your pages Word Count – displays the number of words in your document Zoom Control – reflects the zoom percentage, can zoom in and out of a document. Document Views – Read Mode, Print Layout, Webpage Layout

The Ribbon Home Tab - gives you access to some of the most commonly used commands such as copying and pasting, formatting, aligning paragraphs, and choosing document styles. Insert Tab - allows you to insert pictures, charts, tables, shapes, and cover pages. Design Tab – gives you access to a variety of design tools such as document formatting, effects, and page borders. Page Layout – allows you to change the print formatting such as margin width, page orientation, and page breaks Review Tab – allows you to edit, check spelling and grammar View Tab – allows you to switch different views for your document Format Tab – format items as needed

Backstage View Return to Word – use the arrow to close Backstage view and return to word Info – contains information on the current document and you can inspect the document and set protection controls New – create a blank new document or pick a template Open – open recent documents as wells documents saved to your computer. Save and Save As – save your document to your computer. Print – you can change the print settings and preview your document. Close – close the current document.
