Finding high-value, low ownership players is often the key to placing toward the top of large fields Predicting and applying knowledge around player ownership percentages is most valuable in Tournaments (GPP, League, Satellite, etc). REMEMBER: DFS information is more valuable if it is accurate and exclusive Fade (verb) DEFINITION: The act of purposely avoiding a player in your lineups because of high ownership expectations

USING PLAYER OWNERSHIP  Step 1: Predicting Ownership This can be done by playing consistently and tracking common ownership percentages for certain players. Also, players on “hot streaks” or coming off a strong performance will tend to have inflated ownership numbers. I believe there are also a number of writers who try to tackle ownership prediction for most slates/sports, you just have to find them (Google search or Twitter)  Step 2: Balancing Ownership Predictions w/ Expected Value It’s not likely that a team full of players owned by under 10% of the field will win a tournament. There will often be players with expected high ownership that should still be played in your lineups.
