JAVA COOL - DC COOLER 1

√Background The Battery Heat: 2

I.DC COOLER INTRODUCTION √Understanding DC Cooler is an instrument which makes a unit to cool down the battery that is installed in a closed room. DC Cooler works in a convection manner with a continuous air circulation. After the heat reaches the optimal battery working temperature the heat will be limited. 3

√Procedure DC Cooler works in a convection manner with air circulation in the battery room, so the battery working temperature will stay at the lowest level. The heat in the battery room, that is produced while the battery is charged or discharged, will be reduced by cold air of the DC Cooler. 4

√ Advantages of the DC Cooler A cooling system with friendly environmental awareness Reduction of the impact of ozone layer due to freon Cooling down the temperature of the batteries to the desirable temperature Lengthen the lifetime and performance of battery Can be used as electrical panel cooler, electrical components, and so on 5

II.Java Cool DC COOLER TYPE 1-48 Vdc √The main Component Thermoelectric The principle of thermoelectric cooler is based on the Peltier principle where direct current (DC) is flowing through a Peltier element with semiconductor cells type P (a semiconductor which has lower energy lower) and type N (the higher one). One of Peltier sides becomes cold (the heat is absorbed) and the other side becomes hot (the heat is released) Peltier elements are an effective way of cooling without using Freon. 6

Direct Current Motor (DC Fan) Direct Current Motor (DC Fan – AFB1548H) is a blower instrument in the cooling system and it functions as a circulation controller. Cooling Media (Heatexchanger) Thermoelectric cooler needs heatexchanger which functions to absorb the heat and as a cooling media. This media uses anodized aluminium in order to avoid oxidation due to temperature changing or chemical substances. 7

Temperature Control Java Cool DC Cooler is equipped with temperature control cut off at 24 ° C and a temperature alarm at 35 ° C. This temperature setting is optional (temperature setting can be set at any desirable temperature) Heatsink Temperature Control 8

√Technical Specification Rated Voltage: 48 Vdc High Temperature Current: 2.91 Amp High Temperature Power: 157 Watt Low Temperature Power: 0.48 Watt QC: 587 Btu/h Fan speed: 3000 RPM (24/48 Vdc) Temperature adj. range: 21 – 28 ˚C Dimensions: 400x172x180 9

III.LABORATORY TEST RESULT √Measuring Certificate 10

√Conclusion Java Cool DC Cooler can set the battery room temperature, so it can be constantly 21 ° C instead of reaching 40 ° C The obtainable difference between outside ambient temperature and inside temperature reaches 8,32 ° C The room temperature at panel can be set in accordance with the need so it can lengthen the battery life It can reduce the impact of ozone damage due to the lack of freon With the appropriate temperature of charging and loading of battery, it can increase the battery efficiency Thank you 11
