WIKI inventory prepared describing all datasets to be archived at ECMWF Subset of reanalyses in MARS at ECMWF (D4.1, M48): MARS archiving of reanalysis data in common format at ECMWF is ongoing (prototype succesful). First focus on EURO4M 2008/9 for use in WP3 is done. Next subset of UERRA data in common format. (progress report: Richard Mladek) WP4 Facilitating downstream services Task 4.1 – Establishing data services (ECMWF, KNMI)

Task 4.2 – User-oriented products (KNMI, SMHI, MF) MARS connection to ESGF is being established within CLIPC; ESGF nodes set up at STFC, KNMI, NSC/SMHI, etc. (to be done...) Data visualisation prototype on the Climate4Impact portal based on ADAGUC has been extended. Implementation of ESGF (Earth System Grid Federation) node for at least one UERRA dataset (D4.4, M36) (progress report: Maarten Plieger / Else vd Besselaar) INSPIRE compliant data dissemination plan; link to CLIPC data architecture plan (D4.2 report ) WP4 Facilitating downstream services D4.2 : Data plan: INSPIRE compliant data dissemination plan and hand over to CLIPC UERRA should not built its own data portal, but connect to existing data portals. Connection with CLIPC through UERRA ESGF data node Connection whit CLIPC through climate4impact data upload UERRA wider data dissemination through climate4impact.eu and Climate-ADAPT Questions for GA: Do we want to put effort in wider data dissemination? UERRA contact persons for datasets are needed to make the connections work How does UERRA want to interact with C3S? WP4 Facilitating downstream services

T4.1 – Establishing data services (ECMWF, KNMI) MARS archiving of reanalysis data in common format at ECMWF is ongoing.First focus on EURO4M 2008/9 for use in WP3, then subset of UERRA data (D4.1, Month 48) WIKI inventory prepared for all datasets to be archived at ECMWF WP4 Facilitating downstream services

Same data visualisation tool is also used in IS-ENES2 and CLIPC WP4 Facilitating downstream services

T4.2 – User-oriented products (KNMI, SMHI, MF) Climate indicator bulletin (updated 19 Jan 2015) warmest_year_on_record_in_Europe Indices calculated for gridded data; first tests with E-OBS (together with EUPORIAS project); reanalysis data will follow (D4.5, Month 48) Hydrological downstream modelling using 20YR EURO4M data (D4.6) WP4 Facilitating downstream services

From the MST november 2015: WP4 The Data plan in collaboration with CLIPC has now been written (D4.2) and will be ready before end of December. The ESGF systems are still down due to the security issue, so there has been no progress possible. For archiving in GRIB2 in MARS at ECMWF, most of the parameters have been agreed on and defined. A few need WMO definitions and ECMWF will submit them through a fast track system expected to be done within a month. Meanwhile the rest of the parameters can start to be archived, once the WP2 providers can extract exactly the agreed parameters from their test files. 17

18 D4.2 : Data plan: INSPIRE compliant data dissemination plan and hand over to CLIPC Deliverable D4.2 UERRA should not built its own data portal, but connect to existing data portals. In D4.2, the following connections are foreseen: Connection with CLIPC through UERRA ESGF data node Connection whit CLIPC through climate4impact data upload UERRA wider data dissemination through climate4impact.eu and Climate-ADAPT Questions for GA: Do we want to put effort in wider data dissemination? UERRA contact persons for datasets are needed to make the connections work How does UERRA want to interact with C3S? (from Wim Som de Cerff)
