Project Second Wind Monday, February 22 – Friday, February 26 3 more days until Project Second Wind! 270,000 people per month ate meals from emergency food boxes. Of the 270,000 people, 92,000 are children. That’s a lot of children and people in need of our support

Project Second Wind Monday, February 22 – Friday, February 26 Oregon Food Bank needs these nutritious foods: - canned meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, salmon) - canned and boxed meals (i.e., soup, chili, stew, macaroni and cheese) - peanut butter and other nut butters - canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils) - pasta, rice, cereal - canned fruits and vegetables percent fruit or vegetable juice (canned, plastic or boxed) - cooking oil - shelf-stable milk -consider donating healthy, low-fat and low- sugar products To ensure food safety, Oregon Food Bank cannot use: - rusty or unlabeled cans - perishable items (applies only to food drive donations) - homemade items - noncommercial canned or packaged items - alcoholic beverages, mixes or soda - open or used items

The games in the cafeteria that students use during indoor recess, as many of you know, are in pretty sad shape. If you have any games at home that you would like to donate, we sure would appreciate it! Thanks!
