3 Hours of Operation Sunday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Hours of Operation Sunday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

4 First Step: Registration  Shoppers register on the first visit  Then each time shoppers come to the pantry, they sign in with their name and the number of people in their household they are shopping for.

5 Shopping in the Pantry Center We have a total of nine appliances for storage of frozen and refrigerated food items

6 Cooler is used to store eggs, dairy products, and produce. This is where shoppers first select perishable but non-frozen foods from the cooler.

7 Frozen and Other Refrigerated Items Shoppers choose frozen meat and other entree items per guidelines for family size.

8 Dry Products Room!

9 Our Pantry Guidelines 1.Follow the family-size guidelines for food distribution. 2.Assist the customer with choices to make a balanced meal. 3. Remind customers if necessary that we are providing food to “supplement” their food budget.

16 Personal Cares Shopping Center! Shopping in this area is limited to the 1 st Sunday only each month. Most personal product items are donated by churches, community drives, or by individuals. Usually this type of item is not available through the Food Bank of Iowa.

18 Final Step Final Step Shoppers sign out after shopping. This sign-out sheet verifies their name and again the number of people in their household they have shopped for that day. Their food products are placed on the elevator, taken to the main entrance where volunteers wheel the carts with food to the shoppers’ cars.
