Psychology as a Science Psychology is a Social Science, but has foundations in the natural sciences Social Science = structure of human society and its nature of interactions Natural Science = Study of the brain Research is usually done by survey method or experimentation

Psychology as a Science Research is organized into theories and these theories discuss principles that govern behavior and mental processes Theory = is a statement that attempts to explain why things are the way they are and happen the way they do Principle = is a rule or law
