What do you want to advertise? 3 It is the SPECIFIC information you want to impart to an IDENTIFIED individual or group with a GOAL in mind. “MESSAGE”

An effective message An effective message can only be crafted if you have a clear understanding of your mandate i.e. your GOAL - objectives, targets An effective message must be directed toward an intended AUDIENCE. Examples of well-crafted headlines: –ASEPEX to Create Shortlist of Businesses for AGOA Export Training –Ghana ATRC Trains 80 Customs Officers on AGOA Export Documentation 4

Your key messages include: Your company needs my services I want to teach you how to improve the quality of products you export so that you can meet international standards and increase your profit margin. This is what AGOA entails and this is how your company or agency can participate in it and benefit from it. Let me introduce you to companies X, Y, and Z so that you can enter into a business relationships with each other. I have met my targets and here are the results 5
