Sustainability Definitions Wikipedia: “the ability to maintain balance of a certain process or state in any system” Merriam-Webster: “method of harvesting or using a resource so that the resource is not depleted or permanently” Sustainable Recycling Program: “maximize scrap recovery tonnage and proceeds while minimizing operating costs”

Federal Requirements RCRA Subtitle D-(40 CFR / ) 10 tons or more of waste corrugated containers per month is required to segregate or collect them separately for recycling (40 CFR and ). Businesses and other organizations employing over 100 office workers are required to recover high-grade paper. Residential facilities at which more than 500 families reside are required to recycle newspapers.
