Internationalization will be Impactful I challenge my faculty/staff to be free thinkers – Inside the box is easy, outside the box is fun I challenge my faculty/staff to be innovative – Same old methods aren’t effective I challenge my faculty/staff to be entrepreneurial in spirit – Take a risk once in awhile; rewarding with dividends – Ok to fail, but work to insure a high level of confidence for success

Responsibilities of Global Citizens Share a commitment to form communities that are diverse both in terms of ethnicity, culture, education and religion Share a commitment to form communities that are tolerant of these differences and share in their understanding (keeps some curvature in the world) Share a commitment to form a scientifically literate and questioning citizenry We will all be sharing this shrunken world ….. S&T brings us ever closer Help people understand science and technology and the effects it can have on their lives – both the desirable and the undesirable

Personal Development Plan Continue your education Technical Managerial Develop horizontal thought process Broaden your thoughts Interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, global Volunteer Community, professional Regional, national, international Involved politically RFIR – review, feedback, implement, review

PREPARING FOR YOUR FUTURE Globalization is already well on its way, but you can have a significant impact on the world because it is shrinking. “You are not at the beginning of the end, but at the end of the beginning.” – Shane Robison, VP Hewlett Packard Your education is the beginning to a future life that you get to define.
