F-1 Visa Holders (Generally Degree-Seeking) J-1 Visa Holders (Generally Non-Degree) Non-citizens in the U.S. may be in the U.S. under many different visa types (employment-based, asylum, permanent resident, etc.). 8 Admitting Students These requirements apply to all programs that admit international students: Must be full-time, on-campus program Must submit application to the school Must provide proof of English proficiency Must provide proof of sufficient funds to cover cost of study and living in U.S.
