Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Introduction  The project is designed to develop a robotic vehicle that is controlled by a cell phone. DTMF commands from a phone are sent to another cell phone which is mounted on the robot. These commands are fed to a microcontroller of 8051 family to operate the vehicle movement through motor interface.robotic vehicle that is controlled by a cell phone

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Software  Keil compiler.  Language: Embedded C or Assembly.

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Circuit Diagram

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Functionality  Send commands from one cell phone to be received by another cell phone.  Mounted on the robot to receive the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) mode commands.  Which are then decoded by a DTMF decoder.  The corresponding codes are then fed to a microcontroller.

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle  Microcontroller are programmed to recognize those codes to operate 2nos DC motors through motor driver IC.  It commands for any direction movement as per the sent commands from sender’s mobile.  The motors are controlled using motor driver IC which is interfaced to the microcontroller.  It uses microcontroller from 8051 family and a battery for power source. Functionality

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Advantage 1.Wireless control. 2. Surveillance System. 3. Vehicle Navigation with use of 3G technology. 4. Takes in use of the mobile technology which is almost available everywhere. 5. This wireless device has no boundation of range and can be controlled as far as network of cell phone

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Disadvantage 1.Cell phone bill. 2. Mobile batteries drain out early so charging problem. 3. Cost of project if Cell phone cost included. 4. Not flexible with all cell phones as only a particular, cell phone whose earpiece is attached can only be used.

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Applications  Military and Law Enforcement  Search and Rescue Operations  Scientific Applications A Robotic Vehicle can be used in numerous applications like

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Military and Law Enforcement  Remote control vehicles are used in law enforcement and military engagements for some of the same reasons.  It can be used in the borders for disposing hidden land mines.  Remote Controlled Vehicle is used by police to detect bombs, or some chemicals, etc.  Remote controlled vehicles are used by many police department bomb-squads to defuse or detonate explosives.

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Search and Rescue Operations  UAVs and Robotic Vehicles will likely play an increased role in search and rescue operations in natural calamities like earth quakes, floods, wild fire and hurricanes.

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Scientific  Remote control vehicles have various scientific uses including hazardous environments, working in the Deep Ocean, and space exploration.  The majority of the probes to the other planets in our solar system have been using remote control vehicles.

Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle Further Improvements and Future Scope  IR Sensors To this Project.  Password Protection.  Alarm Phone Dialers.  Adding a Camera to this project.
