2 DRAWBACKS OF RF CIRCUITS:- 1. Limited working range 2. Limited frequency range 3. Limited control. Use of a mobile phone for remote control can overcome these limitations. ADVANTAGES OF MOBILE CONTROL:- 1. Robust control 2. Working range as large as the coverage area of the service provider 3. No interference with other controllers 4. Up to twelve controls.

3 This DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) decoder circuit identifies the dial tone from the telephone line and decodes the key pressed on the remote telephone For the detection of DTMF signaling, we are using the IC MT8870DEwhich is a touch tone decoder IC. It decodes the input DTMF to 4 digital outputs.

4 DTMF used in the telephone switching centers to identify the number dialed by the caller. A DTMF decoder distinguishes the DTMF tones and produces the binary sequence as parallel output as Q1,Q2,Q3 and Q4 equivalent to key pressed in keypad. M-8870 DTMF decoder IC decodes tone generated by the keypad of cell phone

5 Home Automation System Mobile Controlled Land Rover Range of Working as large as is the network coverage of service provider. Any digital circuit which takes commands from pre processed micro controller/processor can be controlled.
