Casual- What Not to wear Just because it’s casual Friday or a mixer, does not mean it is “relaxing time” or that you’re out and about with your friends. It is still work.

Appropriate

Inappropriate

Business Professional: Women Business professional attire for women is very similar to what men are expected to wear: The Power Suit. No, this doesn't mean you have to wear a boxy jacket, pinstripe pants and a tie... Instead, opt for a slim cut pantsuit, a skit and jacket combination, or a structured (and modest) dress.

Shoes, Hosiery and Accessories Accessories such as shoes, handbags and briefcases should be small and coordinate with the colors of your clothing. Wear classic pump-style shoes or other conservative styles with closed heels and toes. Heels should be no more than three inches high; flats are also appropriate. Hosiery is always required with a skirt and should be the same color--or one shade lighter--as your outfit if you are wearing a long-sleeved jacket. With short sleeves, wear skin-toned hosiery.

Business Professional: Men Suits The best choice of fabric for a suit is pure wool or wool-blend in navy, black, or charcoal gray with or without pin-stripes. Other styles such as muted plaids and tweeds in neutral colors are acceptable. The jacket sleeves should end at your wrist and the jacket skirt should cover your rear end. Button the top button of your jacket when you are standing

Business Professional: Men Men's dress clothing should consist of the following basics: 1) Well fitting, conservative and solid colored dress shirt and tie. 2) Dress pants in neutral colors such as black, navy, khaki and gray. 3) Dress socks - your socks should not be lighter in color than your pants. 4) A classy dress watch. 5) Comfortable, shined dress shoes in neutral colors such as black or brown. 6) A plain leather belt that matches the color of your dress shoes.
