THE 1920’S WERE A TIME OF INNOVATION…. Many products were invented… And many products which had been invented earlier were popularized! These advances in technology changed Canadian Society!

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES Vacuum Cleaners Refrigerators Washing machines Toasters Stoves Irons These inventions had major impact on the lives of Canadian Women! Technology saved time!!!... This allowed women to focus on things outside housework!

THE AUTOMOBILE Prior to WW1, Canada’s main modes of transportation included ships and trains -Cars had been invented in the late 1800’s but were not popular

THE AUTOMOBILE “ The Big Three” Ford, General Motors and Chrysler
