ILL Borrowing Primo  ILLiad  Alma using Resource Sharing Patrons discover and request items Articles | Databases  Primo U Resolver  ILLiad request form Books| WorldCat Local  Primo Search Results  ILLiad request form Nothing appears in patron’s Primo account at this point ILL staff request items ILL staff search OCLC, DOCLINE and other catalogs via ILLiad, send the ILL request. ILL staff receive & circulate items Articles | Received and delivered electronically (Odyssey, Article Exchange, PDF attachment, print that is scanned, etc.) Books | Staff receive item in ILLiad, then create a Resource Sharing request and temp item in Alma to circulate the item (6 weeks, no renewal). Item is scanned in at Resource Sharing Library and put into transit to the patron’s requested hold shelf. Item is received at the patron’s requested hold shelf, item scanned in, patron receives pickup notice, comes to desk and checks out book. Patron and staff return items Books | Patron returns item to any desk. Item is scanned in which checks it in from the patron’s record. Item is put into transit to the Resource Sharing Library. Item is received at Resource Sharing Library and scanned in which deletes the temporary item record. Staff return the item in ILLiad.

ILL Lending ILLiad  Alma using Work Orders ILL staff receive requests ILL staff receive lending requests in ILLiad (OCLC, DOCLINE, web form) ILL staff retrieve or work order materials For items in Suzzallo or HSL – staff print ILLiad slips and go to shelves to retrieve items Items items in other branches – staff create work orders in Alma to request that branch staff pull the items from their and shelves and send them to ILL North or ILL South for lending/scanning (screen shot of table) ILL staff process item for loan ILL staff receive the work ordered item, scan into Alma to either “being scanned” or “out to non-UW library” (for lending). Scanning | ILL staff scan the item and deliver it via Odyssey, Article Exchange, etc. Physical Lending | ILL staff up the item to shipped in ILLiad, ship the item. ILL staff receive item returning home Item is received in the Resource Sharing Library from the borrowing library. ILL staff complete the request in ILLiad. ILL staff complete the work order in Alma, which puts the item into transit to its shelving location. Library staff receive the item, scan it into Alma, and re-shelve the item.
