Ann Beheler – PI (Porterville College, CA) Helen Sullivan – Director and Innovation Coach (CTC) Ann Blackman – Program Manager and Innovation Coach (CTC) Eliazar Martinez – Co-PI (El Centro College, TX) Bill Saichek – Mentored College (Orange Coast College, CA) Elizabeth Halweg – Mentored College (Fox Valley College, WI) Karl Dietrich – Mentored College (Lansing College, MI)

Impact on adopters – money saved in implementing a new program including cost savings on curriculum, professional development and quickly implementing a new degree/certificate program Education change – new convergence programs will be made available to geographic regions in the country who have a strong demand for employees with these skills Consequences of not scaling – fewer employees available for hire by companies, people who need skills for a new job would have fewer options because training and degree not available

CTC program – mentoring focusing on partnerships Began pilot in 2005 Examples of programs launched in shorter time period Enrollment up in IT programs at current Mentored Colleges Graduates from CTC now have jobs because of their degrees and certificates Developed a national network of colleges who share best practices

Potential Adopters – Colleges in areas where businesses hire employees who can support voice, data and image/video over a secure network Determine usefulness – Evaluate what components are implemented and were they effective Provide job forecast survey instrument to predict success Curriculum, degrees and certificates can be institutionalized

Lite version – Mentored Colleges can implement on how it makes sense to their service area Program funded through 2012 Limited staff support vs. increasing number of Mentored Colleges Program needs institutional support Business partnership is key to success Recession provides challenge in college funding and business forecasts
