Upsilon Pi Epsilon Association Founded at Texas A&M University in 1967 for the computing science curriculum. The only National Honor Society for the computing and information disciplines and is recognized as such by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and IEEE Computer Society. In 1997, Upsilon Pi Epsilon was admitted as a member of the Association of College Honor Societies - the parent organization for all academic honor societies in North America. Membership Requirements Joining UPE is by invitation. To be eligible you must: ITEC major completed at least sixty (60) credit hours, including eighteen (18) credit hours in Information Technology an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 a grade point average of at least 3.3 in all Information Technology coursework rank in the top thirty-five (35) percent of his/her class
