1 What is Alpha Beta Gamma?

2 History of ABG®  ABG® was established in 1970 by business chairs and professors to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students in business curriculums.  In 1998, ABG® was expanded to include business honor students from Mexico and Canada.

3 History of ABG® (cont.)  Since ABG® was formed over 55,000 students from accredited community, junior, and technical college have been initiated into more than 200 chapters.

4 Requirements for Membership  The student must have completed 15 credit hours with at least 12 hours of his or her work taken in courses leading to a degree recognized by his or her institution.  In addition, the student has to maintain a 3.3 GPA or higher in business courses as well as a 3.3 overall average.

5 When will I find out that I am eligible to become a member?  In mid-January, you should receive a letter from our advisor, Mrs. Nancy Rockey, informing you that you are eligible to become a member in the Eta Delta chapter of ABG®.  In late March, we hold an Induction Ceremony in the ETB Conference Room to honor our new members in front of friends and family.
