Atopic-dermatitis  Is a long-term skin disease that involves itchy and scaly rashes.

How do you get it?  Similar to an allergy, it is due to a hypersensitivity reaction in the skin.

What happens to the skin?  The skin swells and inflaminates.

Does the body try to fix itself?  Yes, the disease usually is outgrown by early adulthood from having it as early as the ages of 2-6 months.

What medicines are needed?  Creams and ointments may be used monthly to stop the itching and will help heal the skin.

Is it curable?  Medicines can be used to help heal the skin faster and the disease can be outgrown by early adulthood.
