2011- ESA Project- Extraction of specific chemical contaminants in the air Melissa: more than 100 VOC at total 140 ppm We selected as rapresentative of different classes of compounds: Ethanol Carbon disulfide Tetrahydrofuran 2-methyl-2-butene Iso-propylamine Toluene Our Melissa simulator He 30mL/min, 2°/min vacuum, 8°/min Internal diameter 3 mm, tube length 30cm. collection efficiency > 95% for gases with D=0.28 cm2/ s, flow rates 1 L/min This simple filtering based on diffusion can last 19 days at a flow rate of 2 mL/min before the BTV of the less eluted compound is reached.
