2 Nuclear power is the use of sustained nuclear fission to generate heat and electricity. Nuclear power plants provide about 6% of the worlds energy and 13-14% of the worlds electricity. Nuclear power is a sustainable energy source that reduces carbon emissions. There is an on going debate about the use of nuclear energy.

3 Atoms are constructed like miniature solar systems. Is emission-free Produces about 70% of our carbon-free electricity. It also produces clean air unlike other energies. Has a low impact on the environment because it does not emit air pollution. Nuclear power plants do not emit criteria pollutants or greenhouse gases when they are generate electricity.
