Why is GILD so effective? GILD is unlike any other leadership development program. Only GILD combines the depth of an immersion learning workshop, the rigor of an university executive education program, and the pace and scale of a world-class conference to provide accelerated, transformational growth in areas proven to distinguish superior leaders. The GILD Difference: Competency-based curriculum World-class faculty of renowned experts Leadership Assessment Instrument™ (LAI) One-on-one executive coaching Peer learning teams Year of Learning™ [GILD’s] holistic approach to leadership development far surpasses any other options I have experienced in 20 years of organizational development. — Rebecca Lynch-Wilmot Director, Employee Learning & Development, InFocus

Competency-based curriculum The result of an in-depth longitudinal study, the High Impact Leadership Model™ identifies the key competencies, skills, and responsibility areas proven to distinguish superior leaders. GILD provides insights, skills, and capabilities that can be immediately leveraged to drive change and produce better results in your organization. The GILD curriculum is focused on the development of critical leadership differentiators identified in Linkage’s High Impact Leadership Model™.

World-class faculty of renowned experts Aspects of the High Impact Leadership Model™ come to life through keynote conversations with some of the world’s foremost thought leaders. The GILD faculty is a carefully recruited mix of the world’s greatest leaders (current and past CEOs, politicians, and humanitarians), world- renowned educators (representing business, arts, and academia), and expert coaches and team facilitators. A total participant-to-faculty ratio of 4:1 allows for a variety of learning formats including lectures, skill development workshops, peer learning sessions, and one-on-one coaching sessions. Discussion lectures by keynote speakers…were very inspiring. The speakers were dynamic. I plan to tell my president…to send all newly appointed leaders to GILD. You receive so much quality information to build your foundation as a leader. — Marta Garcia Director, Medical Staff Services, Methodist Hospital of Southern California

Leadership Assessment Instrument™ Growth begins with an awareness of a participant’s strengths and areas for improvement. Before GILD begins, participants will complete Linkage’s 360º Leadership Assessment Instrument™ (LAI), a multi-dimensional assessment that measures the differentiators in the High Impact Leadership Model™. This assessment provides the heightened self- awareness necessary for an individual’s growth as a leader to begin. The results from the LAI made me aware of what I thought of myself as a leader, as well as what my staff thought of me as a leader. I was able to apply the LAI results to best focus my learning. — Alasdair Smith Chief Operating Officer, Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre

One-on-one executive coaching Transformation is achieved by addressing each participant’s leadership strengths and development opportunities with an individualized action plan for growth. Directed by individual results from the LAI, participants will personally select and work one-on- one with an executive coach from GILD’s faculty of experienced coaches. The coaching process includes two private sessions during the five-day program and a third remote session 4-6 weeks afterward. Through these sessions, coaches become a valuable resource, helping participants to interpret assessment results, craft an Individual Development Plan, and monitor progress on their goals. Time spent with my executive coach was priceless and provided me with a clear picture in developing action steps that will enhance my leadership presence. — Steve Wurm President, Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington, Texas

Peer learning teams Learning is retained through collaborative critique and application to real-life situations. Learning teams are facilitator-led, peer teams who gather each day to reflect on and share what they have learned and apply it to their pressing leadership challenges and opportunities. Participants are assigned to teams based on similar characteristics such as leadership experience, scope of responsibility, and preferred learning style. Great networking opportunity, even better support system. Team meetings – invaluable. — Beth Garron Regional Vice President, Development, Provena St. Joseph Medical Center

Year of Learning™ Transformation is sustained through a year-long curriculum. As a complement to the five-day immersion program, The Year of Learning™ is an advanced community-based resource designed to sustain leadership growth over time. The Year of Learning™ delivers effective and content-rich resources in a way that is timely and supportive. The Year of Learning™ incorporates monthly learning guides, exclusive access to executive book summaries and articles, and valuable thought leader content. From an organizational perspective, GILD addressed a wide spectrum of…business and leadership issues, arming us with best practices and multiple ways to successfully address each issue. — Mark Sartrelli Director, Human Resources, Ariba
