Begin Warm Up. Warm Up: in your math journal draw an acute and an obtuse angle using a protractor. Label the measurement. Also give the complementary and supplementary angles for each.

1.Warm Up – in journal 2.HW questions? 3.Lesson Begin HW? Tasks for Today

Shapes & Designs, p. 23

Model in journal

Done in last night’s HW!

1.Draw a 1in. line and label points A and B 2.What is the vertex of the given angle? 3.Estimate/sketch the angle 4.Measure the exact angle 5.Measure the length of line BC. 6.Connect A to C!

Variety of triangles – depends on where you put the angles and side Natural place is to put the side between the two given angles 1.What should you start with? 2.Draw the 2 in. line 3.Label 2 of the points 4.Measure each angle on either vertex. 5.Extend lines until they meet.

1.Can you visualize this polygon? 2.What should you start with… angle or side length? 3.Draw the 2 in. line 4.Label 2 of the points 5.Measure each angle on either vertex. 6.What’s next? 7.What do you know about the 2 sets of sides? 8.Does it look like a parallelogram?

Cannot be done! Once sides KL and LM are drawn with the given conditions, the distance from K to M is greater than 1 in.

1.Write down HW heading in your journal 2.Find page 31 in the SD Unit 3.Find and read directions for ALL homework problems HW: S&D p. 31, #33-36, #60-62, & #69
