What is the origin of Thanksgiving ? (1) On September 6 th 1620, a ship named the Mayflower left England with 102 passengers. Its destination was Virginia.During the voyage, a violent autumn storm has tossed the Mayflower and the ship has been blown of course.The voyage has long and the passengers were seasick and has suffered.They were mostly bored.

(2) Finaly they landed at Cape Cod on the Massachusetts on November 11 th The pilgrims arrived in the new world during the winter, making it very difficult for them to find food and build shelter. Most of pilgrims failed to survive the first few month in they new home. Wampanoag already lives in the new world and helped the pilgrims to survive.
