CHAPTER ３ ~A difficult climb~

POINT ①  ・ He had thought it would be easy to get to the top of the mountain from here,but he was wrong.  ・ The only way forward was through a stage wall of ice.

POINT ② ・ They had to climb thin gullies between flutings of powder snow to put ice to reach it. ・ Powder snow is very dangerous because it is too soft to put ice screws in.

POINT ③ ・ If we weren’t careful,the snow could fall off the mountain. ・ If that happened,we would fall with the snow.
