 Have you ever seen a Goliath Beetle? You probably want to know what a Goliath Beetle looks like, so here are some facts about them.

 The Goliath Beetle’s blend in with plants because they have many colors and patterns. Goliath Beetle’s have patterns on their backs. They have two pairs of wings that are black. They have sharp claws.

 Goliath Beetles live in Africa. The heaviest Goliath Beetle lives in the rain forests near the equator. Goliath Beetles are found only in Africa. Goliath Beetles live in extremely hot places.

 Adult Goliath Beetles eat sweet foods like fruit. The hungrybabies called grubs eat the rotten wood. The hungry grubs also eat dead plants too. By eating dead plants they keep the rain forest clean.

 Goliath Beetle baby are laid as eggs. After two weeks the eggs hatch into grubs. The baby does not walk, it wriggles from place to place. Goliath Beetle babies eat plants and rotten wood. Goliath Beetle babies are grubs for a few months.

 I learned that the Goliath Beetle is one of the heaviest insects in the world. I also learned that a Goliath Beetle weighs as much as a chick. The Goliath Beetle is nearly the size of a baseball.
