Presentation transcript:

As the Industrial Revolution developed, the effect of every change seemed to cause another change. For example, after a faster method of weaving caused a need for more yarn and thread, a machine was invented that increased the speed of yarn making. Analyze at least three technological changes that caused other changes during the first Industrial Revolution in Great Britain. DUCKS

When the Industrial Revolution began, Great Britain tried to keep machines and skilled workers from leaving the country, but later changed its policy. Explain why Great Britain made laws that prohibited the export of machines or the emigration of skilled workers, why it changed its policy regarding the export of technological skill, and what the results of that change were. GEESE

The Industrial Revolution occurred in Great Britain during the 1700s. Identify and analyze at least three reasons why the Industrial Revolution occurred in Great Britain first, and not elsewhere on the European continent or in America. SWANS

During the Industrial Revolution, there were many changes in the workplace and in society. For example, factories no longer had to be built by rivers after the steam engine was invented. Identify three changes that occurred during the Industrial Revolution and give the cause of each change. TURKEYS
