Kepler ( )  Kepler was from Germany.  Kepler was interested in astronomy from an early age.  He studied to become a Lutheran minister.  He became a professor of mathematics instead.

Kepler  Kepler came up with three laws of planetary motions.  He was the first to study the human eye.  Kepler ranks #75 on Michael Harts famous list of the Most Influential Person in History.

Kepler  During his career, Kepler was a mathematics teacher at a seminary school in Graz, Austria, when he became an associate of Prince Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg.

Kepler

Euler  Euler may be the most influential mathematician who ever lived.  Euler was first to explore topology, proving theorems about the Euler characteristic, and the famous Euler’s Polyhedral Theorem, F+V=E+2

Leanhard Euler

Euler  He made important discoveries in fields as diverse as infinitesimal calculus and graph theory.  He also introduced much of the modern mathematical terminology and notation, particularly for mathematical analysis, such as the notion of a mathematical function.

Euler  Euler’s formula, named after Leonhard Euler, is a mathematical formula in complex analysis that establishes the deep relationship between the trigonometric functions and the complex exponential funcioc.

Marie-Sophie Germain  (April 1, 1776 – June 27, 1831)  Parisian born Germain was a passionate mathematician with a love of number theory and differential geometry.

Marie-Sophie Germain

When Bastille fell at age 13, the revolution atmosphere of the city forced her to say inside. Her parents didn't approve of her sudden fascination with mathematics. The Ecole Polytechnique opened when she was 18.

Marie-Sophie Germain When she read Carl Friedrich Gauss monumental work Disquisitiones Arithmeticae, her interest in number theory was renewed. She toke interest in a contest sponsored by the Paris Academy of Sciences concerning Ernat Chladni's experiments with vibrating metal plates when her correspondence with Gauss ceased.
